Snare Check is a project of Ambrose Films, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. We built this tool to help people identify epistemological traditions and logical structures in public arguments. We are not a data company. We collect as little as possible.
We collect only what is necessary to operate the service. When you analyze a text, the text you submit and the resulting analysis are stored in our database for up to 90 days to enable shareable result links. We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information. We do not require an account. If you choose to add a label to your analysis, that label is stored alongside the result for the same 90-day period.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics may set cookies on your device. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.
If you choose to support this work financially, donations are processed by Stripe. When you click the donation button, you are taken to Stripe's payment page. We do not see or store your payment information. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data. Stripe is PCI-compliant.
Text you submit for analysis is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API inputs. We do not use your submitted text to train any model. We do not share submitted text with any third party other than Anthropic for the purpose of generating the analysis.
Analysis results are automatically deleted after 90 days. We do not maintain backups of individual results beyond this period. If you want a result deleted sooner, contact us at the address below.
We do not set cookies directly except as required by Google Analytics. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cookies that follow you across the web.
Snare Check is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
