Snare Check is an epistemological analysis instrument. It identifies the logical and philosophical tradition underlying a piece of text, and evaluates whether it exhibits the structural patterns of Augustine's Snare — a specific form of circular reasoning with an enforcement mechanism. It is not a fact-checker. It does not determine whether any claim is true or false. Outputs are analytical starting points, not verdicts.
Snare Check is not legal advice, theological advice, medical advice, or any other form of professional advice. The analysis it generates reflects automated pattern recognition applied to text, not the judgment of a licensed professional. Do not rely on Snare Check output for consequential decisions.
You may use Snare Check to analyze publicly available text, your own writing, or text you have the right to submit. You may not use the service to analyze private communications without the consent of the parties involved, to harass or target individuals, to generate content intended to defame, or for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for ensuring that the text you submit does not violate any third-party rights.
You retain all rights to the text you submit for analysis. By submitting text, you grant Ambrose Films, LLC a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your analysis. We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties. Submitted text is processed by Anthropic's Claude API and stored temporarily as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you share a result link, the analysis becomes accessible to anyone with the link for up to 90 days. After 90 days the link expires. You are responsible for what you share and how you represent the analysis to others. Do not present Snare Check output as a definitive or authoritative verdict.
Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. They support the operation of this project. No donation entitles you to any service, guarantee, or preferential treatment. Payments are processed by Stripe.
The Snare Check name, the Augustine's Snare framework, the epistemological taxonomy, and the Christ Standard methodology are the intellectual property of Ambrose Films, LLC and David Ambrose. The underlying epistemological taxonomy draws on the Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy. The fallacy taxonomy draws on Douglas Walton's Informal Logic (Cambridge University Press). The Augustine's Snare framework is documented in Rough Beasts (roughbeasts.org).
Snare Check is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantee that the analysis is accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular purpose. Epistemological classification involves judgment. The AI may be wrong. Use the output critically.
To the maximum extent permitted by Wyoming law, Ambrose Films, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Snare Check, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on any analysis generated by the service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Snare Check at any time without notice. We may update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
